Role Summary: The Fleet Co-ordinator will ensure the safe and efficient operation of Gaeltec's commercial vehicle fleet. This includes managing vehicle maintenance, overseeing vehicle selection and acquisition, handling day-to-day vendor relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations. Responsibilities: - Manage the entire lifecycle of the fleet, including commercial vehicles, equipment, and fuel cards. - Handle procurement, administration, and maintenance of the vehicle fleet, ensuring all statutory and operational requirements are met (e.g., CVRT testing, road tax, GA1 documentation, and other records). - Oversee vendor management to secure cost-effective and efficient services. - Ensure fleet compliance with regulations, including vehicle safety checks, adherence to working time directives, and proper fuel card usage. - Maintain accurate administrative records for vehicle maintenance, driver schedules, logs, accidents, driving patterns, and fuel expenses. - Develop and implement strategies to cut fuel and maintenance costs. - Train and develop team members on vehicle compliance and regulations. - Monitor vehicle performance and utilization to identify improvement areas and cost savings. - Provide weekly reports to Project Managers, investigate and document any issues with vehicle tracking or fuel cards. - Create and implement policies and procedures to optimize department performance. Candidate Profile: - At least three years of experience in a similar fleet role. - Experience ensuring fleet compliance with transport and health and safety regulations. - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to improve existing systems for efficiency, cost, and profitability. - Experience managing leased, rented, and company-owned vehicles. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management. - A motivating attitude with a drive to implement process improvements. - Commitment to cost management and compliance. - Good command of spoken and written English. - Full driving licence.
