AI Project Manager / Head of Operations (Synthetic Voice)

We are seeking an AI Project Manager / Head of Operations to oversee an innovative initiative in Artificial Intelligence and speech synthesis (Text-to-Speech), with a strong emphasis on European Portuguese. This role involves coordinating the development of proprietary synthetic voice technology, ensuring its commercial viability and application in sectors such as media, advertising, e-learning, and accessibility. Your responsibilities will include: leading and managing the technical team (Machine Learning and Deep Learning Engineers) to meet deadlines and align with product vision; overseeing daily operations, establishing development KPIs, and structuring AI workflows; coordinating the logistics of preparing and organizing voice and text datasets for AI models; bridging the gap between complex technology and market needs, supporting corporate communication and product marketing strategies; and managing operational processes, project management tools, and technology integration for end clients. We are looking for someone with a background in Business Communication, Management, or equivalent experience, complemented by recent specializations in AI and Innovation; proven experience as an Operations Manager with a track record in KPI definition, process management, and team coordination; technological literacy in AI Workflows, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI ecosystems; strong organizational skills using management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Power BI) to optimize development teams; and a strategic, client-oriented vision with the ability to translate technical audio processing requirements into high-impact commercial solutions.
